Refund policy
BackerOnline sells digital promotion services for Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and other crowdfunding campaigns. We want creators to understand exactly what is covered before purchasing a promotion package.
1:1x revenue guarantee
BackerOnline offers a 1:1x revenue guarantee for eligible promotion packages. If verified revenue attributed to your BackerOnline promotion is lower than the amount you paid for the package, we refund the difference to your original payment method.
Example: if you purchase a $399 package and the BackerOnline promotion brings $199 in verified revenue, we refund $200 to the original payment method.
How verification works
To review a refund request, we may ask for reasonable campaign evidence such as the campaign URL, promotion timing, referral or tracking data, Kickstarter or Indiegogo pledge data, and any relevant analytics that help identify revenue attributed to the BackerOnline placement.
What is covered
- The guarantee covers the difference between the package price and verified revenue attributed to the BackerOnline promotion.
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method whenever supported by the payment processor.
- If a campaign is not yet ready for placement, we may reschedule the promotion instead of running it at the wrong time.
What is not covered
- Overall campaign performance that is unrelated to the BackerOnline placement.
- Campaigns that are cancelled, paused, removed, materially changed, or unavailable during the scheduled promotion window.
- Cases where required campaign materials, links, or tracking information are not provided.
- Third-party platform issues, payment failures, or campaign page problems outside BackerOnline's control.
How to request a refund review
Contact BackerOnline with your order information, campaign URL, promotion date, and supporting revenue evidence. We review eligible requests and confirm the refund difference before processing.
